We are excited to invite you to our next TABC members only exclusive networking event; An intimate dinner with Dr. Izak Bencuya, one of the prominent leaders of Silicon Valley in semiconductors, renewable energy storage and power management field. Dr. Bencuya is currently the President and CEO of PeakWatt Solutions and Director at Exar Corp, a public company with US$ 0.5 Billion market cap, and before that he was the CEO of Deeya Energy.

Dr. Izak Bencuya is a Director at Exar Corp. He is currently a consultant and entrepreneur in Energy Storage and Power Management for Alternative Energy Application. Most recently he was the CEO of Deeya Energy, a clean-tech start-up company dedicated to developing and manufacturing electrical energy storage systems. Prior to clean tech industry, he worked for many years at National Semiconductor and Fairchild Semiconductor and was the Executive Vice President and the General Manager of the Functional Power Products Group in San Jose, California.

Dr. Bencuya has over 25 years of industry experience. He began his career at Yale University where he researched ultra thin oxide MOS devices. Dr. Bencuya later worked at GTE Laboratories and Siliconix in various research and management roles to develop leading edge Power Devices. He joined Fairchild Semiconductor in 1994 to start the power semiconductor products business which grew to be the major revenue and earnings generating line at Fairchild. The Functional Power Products Group, at almost $1B annual revenue, supplied Power Semiconductor solutions for all power supply applications in the computing, communications, industrial, consumer and automotive markets. The last few years he has concentrated on the energy storage field and personally drove a $30M series C funding phase in 2009 for pilot production of the initial product at Deeya.

Dr. Bencuya has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the University of California-Berkeley. Dr. Bencuya holds 22 patents and has published in the electronics field.
