Join us on September 5th to hear how Koding with the vision of Devrim Yasar revolutionized software development for Cloud Computing. Devrim will share with you his unique experience of starting a Software company in San Francisco with limited resources and making it wildly successful while raising $2M from investors (at time same time having a lot of fun doing it !!)
About Devrim Yasar
Devrim wrote his first qbasic program at the age of 12. He started playing with software and did little projects on the side at the college in The Netherlands, which turned out to be an outsourcing company in Ukraine with quite a few employees very fast. After leaving outsourcing in 2005 and raised $1M+ for his mobile payments company, he moved back to Istanbul. He later moved to New York, spent 4 years while serving as CTO in two startups, doing Koding on the side.
He loves thinking and usually likes to talk about things Wikipedia would cover.
He loves Hackers & Painters, big fan of Paul Graham, Seth Godin, Rob Pike, Aldous Huxley, C. G. Jung, Bernard Shaw, Aristotle, Sun Tzu and people who came from the stars and built the first reactors - pyramids!)
These days he is seriously thinking to buy a Gibson or a Telecaster and maybe decorate a room in his home to be a small studio so he can start recording some songs again.
About Koding
The big picture vision of Koding is to create a world where developers work without barriers, form teams easily and create software using just koding.com.
Even a poverty ridden 8yr old in Africa, when given a laptop and an internet connection, now has the exact same opportunities as a billionaire in America. They have access to an un-limited amount of computing power with the Koding Cloud, they have a full featured zero-setup already configured development environment with the Koding IDE, a supportive community where they can learn and team up with others on their big idea with the Koding Community, and with those ideas they can create Koding Applications that can scale infinitely without having to worry about current day problems of hosting and paying for hosting etc.
That essentially, Koding aims to eliminate the gap between amateur and expert as much as possible - by making the same resources an expert is aware of and has available, as accessible as possible to everyone.
