A serial entrepreneur, Mr. Orhun has spent the past 5 years managing corporate/governmental/nonprofit consortia to promote mutual investment in the US and Turkic nations before becoming the President of Kannas Energy, LLC., where he is leveraging these relationships to create a portfolio of global energy projects that integrate leading edge technologies.

He co-founded and has served as president of a Silicon Valley non-profit, the Turkish American Business Connection (TABC) since 2004. TABC promotes high-tech entrepreneurship, facilitates business connections between professionals and corporations in Turkey and the U.S., and provides consulting services to emerging companies looking to enter the U.S. and Turkish markets.

Mr. Orhun also serves on the boards of Citizens Living Abroad Committe (YYVDK) and American Friends of Turkey (AFOT).

Mr. Akkoç is a founding member of TABC. He has worked on operations, finance, and legal aspects of the organization. He was the Conference Chair for TABCON 2007 and has been a contributor to all TABC events. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Mr. Ersun has been a member of TABC since 2004. Kaan has been a member of the TABCON organizing committee since 2006. In 2007, he directed fundraising for TABCON 2007 and raised over $20K for the conference. Kaan has an electrical engineering background from Stanford University and is currently working at a startup in the mobile space. He is in the final year of his MBA at Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Ms. Çetinel has been an active member of TABC since 2008. She will be responsible of marketing and public relations efforts for TABC. She aims to reach out to diverse groups of organizations, businesses, and individuals and help them get connected with Turkish American Business Community. She is the team lead for "Last Thursdays Socials and Networking Events" and other social events.

Graduated from Galatasaray Lisesi, she received a scholarship from Koç University to attend the Ohio State University. She holds a B.S. degree in Finance from the Ohio State University. She has held financial analyst positions in various companies the last six years, latest being Williams Sonoma Inc. in San Francisco.

Mr. Demiray is serving in TABC since March 2010. He is responsible for TABC events' content and speaker management. Mr. Demiray has more than 20 years of communications, semiconductor technology, marketing and business development experience. In his current role at Vishay, Mr. Demiray directs all aspects of new product definition, product pricing, worldwide launch and design win activity for Vishay's power management products for multi-media, medical, military, industrial and consumer markets. Before joining Vishay, Mr. Demiray was the Sr. Director of Marketing at Exar Corporation responsible for Strategic Marketing and Applications managing Exar's Communications Product Portfolio for SONET/SDH, Circuit Emulation, SATA, Ethernet product lines.

He holds BSEE and MSEE from the Middle East Technical University and an MBA from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Mr. Demiray holds three patents in telecommunication technology field.

A well known venture capitalist in the Silicon Valley, Barış has been an advisor to TABC since 2008. Currently, Barış is a partner with Fuse Capital, he focuses on identifying investment opportunities in digital media with a principal emphasis on the Internet. Concurrently, Barış is the CEO of HIP Digital Media, a Digital Music company in the firm's portfolio.

Prior to Fuse Capital, Barış worked for six years at U.S. Venture Partners, a leading Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm.

Barış holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Babür has served as CEO of Berggi, an internationally acclaimed mobile applications provider (acquired by Avanzit MCE: AVZ); President of DataCert, no 1 provider of legal billing SaaS provider in the world (acquired by CCH Wolters Kluwer Wolters WLSNC: NA); CEO of LenSec, no 1 provider of web-based video surveillance management platform provider to Public School Districts in the USA; and CEO of Superonline, most recognized Internet brand in Turkey (acquired by Turkcell NYSE:TKC). His experience spans mobile, web, Internet, SaaS, consumer, enterprise, USA, Europe, and Asia. Babur holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from Rice University, and served in the boards of technology companies in the USA, China, Spain and in Turkey, and currently is an advisor to BroadVision (NASDAQ:BVSN), Transpera, Hakia, Alert Logic, Smart Medical Consumer, mPayConnect, and DFJ Mercury Venture Capital Fund.
